what we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
lang | Remembers the language you chose (en or fr) so nostro.ag opens in it next time. Set only when you click the language switcher. | 12 months | First party, functional |
That is the only cookie set by nostro.ag.
cookieless analytics
We measure audience with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. Visits are counted from a hash of the incoming request that changes every day, so it cannot be used to recognise you over time or follow you across websites. We only see aggregated figures.
what we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party trackers, pixels or social media widgets.
- No fingerprinting.
Fonts and a 3D library are loaded from Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare). These services receive your IP address to deliver the files, as described in our privacy policy, and do not set cookies on nostro.ag.
why there is no banner
Under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (implementing the ePrivacy directive) and the CNIL guidelines, consent is required for cookies and trackers, except those that are strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly asked for. The lang cookie only stores the language you chose, so it falls under this exemption. Our analytics set no cookie and read nothing from your device. With nothing that requires consent, a consent banner would only get in your way.
your control
You can delete the lang cookie or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. The site works the same without it: you will simply see the default language.
