# Nostro
> European financial infrastructure for AI agents. Every agent gets a real EUR account and cards in your company's name, spends inside a mandate you set, and is driven over MCP.

## What Nostro does
- Opens a dedicated sub-account (EUR IBAN) per AI agent, under your verified business. No new KYB per agent.
- Issues virtual cards per agent, bound to a mandate.
- Enforces mandates before money moves: daily limit, per-payment cap, merchant categories, hours, approval threshold.
- Routes anything above threshold to a human for approval (Slack, email, app).
- Signed, exportable audit log of every call, payment and decision.

Rules: always send an idempotency_key on writes. Treat "pending_approval" as normal, never retry it.
